The Yuletide season present a plethora of activities considerably more enjoyable than checking the headlines: discovering surprises, getting stuffed on holiday treats, and using meditation skills to not arguing with family members. I hope you succeeded in do all these things and more. That said, the world of entertainment doesn't go on vacation, and this is especially true for the realm of anime. The One-Punch Man Series Season 3 Is Set to Continue (In 2027)

Perhaps the most shocking revelation, the widely-criticized troubled production that was season 3 of One-Punch Man proved insufficient to deter further production. Season 3 will come back with a subsequent part in 2027—such a distant date they easily could have called it season 4. Adding to the surprise, the studio J.C. Staff will remain in charge. At least this time, helmer Shinpei Nagai is attached to direct from the outset, which might be a hopeful indicator. But, the key visual for the second cour is a mirror of the one used for season 3, just with characters Saitama and Garou facing different directions. This leads one to believe that, at this point, they are probably teasing the fans.

Ruri Dragon Is Set to Be the Premiere Shonen Jump Anime From Kyoto Animation

Kyoto Animation has forged a name for being an top-tier animation studio, setting itself apart not just for the high caliber of its output but for the ethical practices of its employees—a sadly unusual standard in the industry. Unexpectedly, until now, it had never worked on an anime stemming from a manga published in Shonen Jump, arguably the most iconic magazine in the business. Ruri Dragon will change that, and what a excellent choice it is. The manga by Masaoki Shindo became massive popularity when it first appeared in 2022 after just a handful of installments, but then went into a lengthy break due to the author's health issues. When it came back with a lighter schedule, the series demonstrated it still retained the fans' appreciation and goodwill, and now the community is thrilled about the impending KyoAni adaptation.

If you've are unfamiliar with it before, it's because it only just received an English localization, but the anime has been going on for a while, and season 6 was another excellent entry. As it happens that was just the first half, because a "sequel" has been announced as in production, and it will almost certainly premiere in 2026.

From the trailer, the anime titled Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia will have a truly original and fascinating visual style, which is somewhat reminiscent of Ranking of Kings. Debuting in July 2026, this one will without a doubt be on my must-watch list.
