Reigning Sabalenka Wins Back-to-Back WTA Top Player Honors.

Aryna Sabalenka celebrating a point
The Belarusian player finished the year with an notable twenty-three to three Grand Slam win-loss record.

World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been voted the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second straight season.

The 27-year-old secured four tournament victories – the highest tally on the circuit – which included retaining the US Open this past September against Amanda Anisimova to earn her fourth career Grand Slam singles championship.

A Season of High Performance

Over the course of the tour, Sabalenka reached a tour-best nine championship matches, with defeats coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in the French Open final.

The Belarusian also claimed victory at the Brisbane International in January, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open as the clay season progressed. She spent the entire year as the world number one, finishing 2025 atop the rankings for a second straight year.

In July, she became the first player to top 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams did so nearly a decade ago.

Historic Numbers

Sabalenka concluded the competitive year with a 63-12 win-loss record, and collected a historic eleven million pounds in tournament winnings.

She garnered nearly 80% of the votes submitted by global tennis journalists.

Later this month, she is scheduled to face 2022 Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios in a Battle of the Sexes-style exhibition match with the aim of "elevate women's tennis to a greater prominence".
