Loyal fans of the actress are calling for that a man who breached a barrier and seized the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A widely shared footage shows the Australian man pushing past camera operators and lunging at Grande while the actors made its way down a event pathway accompanied by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being taken in", though court documents revealed that he was scheduled to appear on the following morning. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed includes recordings of him disturbing other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last winter.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is evidently a punishable act," commented an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user remarked.

Followers Voice Worry Over Ariana's Safety

Many followers criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her May 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said a further message on Instagram.

Some fans also questioned guards at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals called for social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed shocked when she was touched by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.

Hundreds of Singapore fans had lined up to greet the actors of Wicked

Many of attendees had assembled in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore venue, including some who had queued for as long as eight hours before it began.

The film, to be released on 21 November, is the second of a two-part version of the well-known stage show Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely friendship between two contrasting witches.

The production itself is a spin-off of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of last year in the UK, and received ten Oscar nominations, winning several for outstanding attire and set decoration.
