The former president's Family Member Seeks Expert Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of Professional Golf Debut
This young athlete boasts substantial online presence
The young golfer can count on numerous well-known supporters when she starts her LPGA debut on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to a former US president, received a tournament invitation to compete at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, possesses multiple international courses and often matches against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she stated.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He practically told me to compete and relax," she added.
"To me, he's just a regular grandfather. He can't make it this weekend. He's busy with running the country, making him somewhat preoccupied."
While still amateur, the golfer has participated in just three tournaments recently and maintains position 461 in AJGA standings.
Yet she can get advice from golf legend, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He represents the greatest golfer in the world," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's a superior individual. He advised me to compete, have fun, following the flow."
She'll challenge several top competitors in women's golf at this tournament, featuring second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA stated that involving Kai helps introduce golf to new audiences, particularly with youth audiences.
Kai has millions of followers and just introduced a personal apparel and wellness label.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
